My Basement
You will find me in the basement
Watch your step
And descend down the dirty stairs
Don’t stay long for there’s radon
Dust bunnies accrued
Ideas to chew
When you’re in my basement
No concept of time
Or things to tend to
Just endless webs of notion
And it’s all fair game
No aim nor shame
When I’m in the basement
I can draw or play games
Or just sit and stare
Watch the thoughts as they flit about
Like butterflies
From my mind’s eye
When we’re in my basement
We’ll dissolve and
We’ll absolve ourselves
