Behavior Unbecoming

I know we've been here before
So it's not surprising
We never see any stars even start aligning

Why do I need this enough
To keep running toward it?
I shouldn't even be here, if I can't afford it

I'm done guessing
Can't we settle whatever this is?
Half expecting something better, half expecting this

Is it okay to admit that I should be worried?
Because this behavior is nothing, if not unbecoming
Is relief going to come when we least expect it
Or are we leaving ourselves out here unprotected

I guess I hoped you'd believe me
