Saturday evening
They welcomed me in
Borrowed tuxedo
My school violin

I felt kinda nervous
Didn’t know anyone
They poured me tequila
And they told me “You’re on!”

They introduced me
But it wasn’t my name
With rapid precision

My world was inverted
As the water rushed in
These upside down faces
