So far from home, over and done
I don't feel much anymore
Days turned to years and the drying of tears
God help me out of this hole
Trapped in the darkness when it's light
Bound to the ground, I feed the soil as

Search day and night, hoping for light
Shrouded in doubt and despair
Milk carton profiles of when we all smiled
Time set them free to repair
