Waiting by the Fence
Thomas Helland
I didn't know
Who she was
Or what she did
When I first saw her
All dressed up
In black leather shoes
She had tattoos
On her shoulder
She was looking older than she was
Her grown up dress
With an open chest
Waiting
Waiting by the fence
She would wait
At passing cars
If someone stopped
She would come over
And she would go
For a drive
Just to arrive
Ten minutes later
Looking older than before
With a worn out dress
With an open chest
Waiting
Waiting by the fence
