Toast For Our Lives

You've got scared, and you've got trapped
In those old ideas, that you used to have
You point a way and you choose not to say
All those things that put you in pain

The world now is run by a few
Populated by many and filled with fools
Nothing that we do is supposed to change
All those things that we point out and blame

And we're still standing here on our feet
Breathing proudly our homeland air
No one can tell us what to do
And we don't have to hang our head

So we raise our glasses and make a toast for our lives
Proudly drinking a beer in the same old bar

How could we not pass by fools?
Not belonging to any group
I don't feel like I'm part of a whole
I don't want to be understood

Fancy clothes and big bank account
None of them can make me proud
I wanna be London or Kerouac
Spend my life with all that's worth

And we're still standing here on our feet
Breathing proudly our homeland air
No one can tell us what to do
And we don't have to be hang our head

So we raise our glasses and make a toast for our lives
Proudly drinking a beer in the same old bar
