I can’t stand up
I keep falling down
My right leg is walking out on me
Its migration has got me walking in circles
Or maybe it’s just falling asleep
I don’t know how to wake it up
For it sings its own lullaby
Standing still, I just wanna move ahead
I don’t think I will
And in this metaphoric rage
I think it is painfully obvious
That the problem is that
We don’t see the same
And in this temperamental swing
I learned a valuable lesson
That the lame can’t dance
But the blind can’t sing
Will they sing again?
Will I dance again?
Next time around I won’t pretend
I won’t walk with those who can’t see
But tonight I will dance again
