As I was walking to work one day
I saw a man drowning in his latte
The girl at the coffee shop wouldn't help him
For he was a terrible tipper
So I just kept walking to work

But I could not race into the fire
To quiet the children's desperate cries
Because I was late for work

I saw an elephant going on a rampage
It had escaped from the circus
It really hated those clowns
Their squirting flowers had no effect
So I just kept walking to work
