LUNDEN...

Wendell Johnson

Catch me when I fall
I ain't tryna go back
Catch me when I fall

I'm penning the pain, Picasso a lil too late
This big picture I paint need more than a frame
I'm not more I'm the same
I just got something to say
If you on the surface, relate
Don't wait till it's too late (we all do it)
What I'm doing is tryna get a lil safe
Not worried bout whats current
Pursuing a different chase
Came up from the dirt by water at riverbanks
The riverside, wisdom deposited in my brain
Residing and break away
Been deciding if it'll save
Me when I can't escape
Never really letting go cause the bridge will just fall away
But bringing London to Paris cause France is too far away
Da Shawt is where I lay
Get it honest where family stay(yea)
Still gotta still get it
Still wishing Journee was part of my hopes and wishes
Just to find out that daddy is really a hopeless gimmick
Whose luck is what he spitting
Embedded into his lyrics
And sell it, will they hear it?
Selfish to whoever listens
My problems still need fixing
No matter the amount of digits
Never counted on selling tickets
I council the Highest Spirit
Not hiding, just say you miss me
Not lying cause you don't get it
Majority not really winning
Minorities penny pinching
Dimes on one another
Set us against each other
Sister, sister, and brother
Aiding in our destruction
Never wanting better for us
Just bitter and set for torment
Blood and fear regardless
The Trail of Tears new story
Horrific and it's gory
Tell repetitive stories
Been already bored me
So tell me who's keeping scoring
And beating and leading charges
When seeing a nigga falling

Catch me when I fall
London Bridge is falling down
Catch me when I fall
London Bridge is falling down

You know sometimes it's okay to cry you a river
I been there
Long as you know that river is Genesis and new beginnings
Don't sit and drown yourself in it, then play victim
I been there
Learn to swim
Or build a bridge over it and comfortably walk across
Or set set and burn bridges, whatever have you
But along the way share the compassion in your story
Your tears could quench dry bones with your story
Let em ride the wave or use the bridge you built
So more of us alike can have peace and salvation
Bringing us out of condemnation is true reparations
So lets bridge the gap, we no longer separated

I ain't tryna go back
