Some kind of witchery, implanted in me

You’ll never spot a black cat / Or a mirror cracked / There won’t be omens or signs, just a smile and a line / Then the swing of the axe

Some years ago / A hex was thrown / Dark times, crooked lines, bleak tones, skull & bones
