L’appel du Vide
Through this darkened wood I wander so aimlessly
On a quiet night
Called forth by a voice
Permeating the air
As I watch the shadows move and hide
I fear I am not alone
I can hear her in the trees
Louder and louder
They whisper my name
I can hear her in the trees
Louder and louder
Calling to me
There is something hiding within
Watching as I near
And through the forest’s eyes
So vivid, I can feel her
Watching me
Pulling me down, as limbs surround me
I can't breathе
Distorting the air and creeping near
Corrupting the ground on which I walk
I cannot brеathe
I cannot breathe
I cannot breathe
My pulse quickens
As I fall to my knees
Why did I come here?
Why is this happening?
Her hands reach out to me
Silently they ensnare me
Consuming everything that I am
Choking on my own screams
As I am surrounded by my own fear
I cannot breathe
I cannot breathe
I hear the voices all around me
"My child, you're free"
"Come now, the end is upon us"
"My child, you're free"
My thoughts are scrambled in my head
I cannot see
The roots around my neck they tighten
Purging my humanity
I feel the pressure building inside my head
The world around me ceases to exist
This torture never ends
Bring me bliss
But it still persists
Please bring me to the end
Now, hear me beg for death
I beg you please end this
I hear her whisper
"Fear not my child"
"It will be over soon"
I feel my lungs collapse
My heart beating to a halt
A cold comforting darkness surrounds me
As darkness envelops all that once was
