Spirit Box
Sunk beneath the sea
In the vaults of her dreams
She owns a spirit box
With a touch of her hand
She can raise it back to land
And release its locks
She has heard of a place
Where her trace will be erased
With the morning dew
Oh, and she knows just what it takes
Oh, and she knows just what to do
And she believes this place is magic
That it's built on sacred ground
She's afraid before she gets there
She will be lost .. and never be found
So when morning tide arrives
She hides her sorrow in a smile
And drops her spirit box
And the voices she has heard
Now so silent and absurd
Will break upon the rocks
Oh, but she knows just what they'd say
Oh, and she knows just what to do
And she believes this place is magic
That it's built on sacred ground
But she's afraid before she gets there
She will be lost .. and never be found
So she drops it down below
And she sighs as it goes
As it drops on down below
No one cares
No one knows
