It wasn't raining
The skies were dry
But the sun was nowhere to be seen
It was wet
The ground was muddy
And all I could hear was the squelching sound of my boots
As I walked in the heat

There was no sign of the time nor the place
And space took on the face of constraint
I felt headless
My body light as a feather
My brain - dead

There were no leaves on the trees
That had turned into leaves
Which nested on the great big birds
Fish out of water
Ate cats spawned in rivers
And fire sprang forth from the sea

Sounds of light vibrated
Composing
Decomposing
Spreading chaos and peace
Piercing through the pregnant cosmos
To pray for my unborn soul
And its release

I am awake now
My head is on my head
I look in the mirror
And I see the unseen
And I think the unthinkable
And I do the impossible
And when I go to sleep
I shall not sleep
I will return
