Many changes I have seen
Over lands that I have been
I've learnt to be patient in my time
I've travelled far and wide, I've waited time and tide
I've reached the mountain top I meant to climb

I've carried each burden as far as I can
Change only comes when we all lend a hand

Never in all my years, has a kind man to me appeared
Thriving, contented with his gold
And the wealth that he adores, leaves him broken, lying on the floor
Without a friend to shield him from the cold

Or that wisdom old and wise, in its own or other's eyes
