Ocean's Compass

You're missing the point until you fall asleep,
You think she's special but she's part of the dream.
That's how it goes: repeat & repeat.

Fresh air waves up upon your hair,
Tears of sadness could kiss you neck,
Summer vibes, it's time to pretend.

They claim to be different but they're all the same,
No competition, just music in vein.
I can see the chandelier through the mist,
And I got this question hidden in my fist:
Is this a dream or do we really exist?
Do we really exist...?

Words are cheap but I can't afford,
Always feeling we fed the wrong dog.
Money is not a problem when you're bored of love.

Pieces of glass deep in my blood,
Ocean's compass breaks though the cold,
Can you see the moon just lying above?

And as the sand warms up my hands,
The tides suddenly all dissappear.
We're breaking through another year:
Will this be a good one? Will it come all clear?
