Dancing In the Dark
Hours roll by
Like an episode I've seen too much
From the inside,
I can see how it might look
From afar, I'm dancing in the dark
All lonesome
With my heart
And I can tell it's stopped
And I am stone again
I recall their faces
And I paint them on the wall
Then I recreate them all
To mold just to my liking
Where they know all the movies
And we've got more than small talk
Sounds like I should just get lost
You know where to find me
The smoke unfurls and the radio waves pause
Yet, something still feels off
I'm a living paradox
We're all finite, so I can't speak for too long
You've got ghosts to go see,
And I have night trains to watch
From afar, I'm dancing in the dark
All lonesome
With my heart
And I can tell it's stopped
And I am stone again
It's all metaphors
It's easier than the truth
To no avail,
I am sick with love for you
Organic shapes overcrowd the room
I can't take it
I'll watch from the moon
From afar, I'm dancing in the dark
All lonesome
With my heart
And I can tell it's stopped
And I am stone again
