From shootings to drug addictions
Rappers are falling in rapid succession
Getting shot up in Roscoes or over a game of dice
cnd while they laying there bleeding out, losing their life
People pull out they're phones and start recording just to post for some likes
cs if they ain't got families wishing they could be holding them tight
I'm seeing way to much death
Even came close once myself
That's why I never take for granted this hand I've been dealt
That's why I always take advantage of any opportunity presenting itself
Every second is a precious blessing ain't got time for second guessing myself
Even then sometimes depression sets in and I begin to question everything I've made of myself
Like is music really what I was born to do?
Sometimes I wonder if I do this more for me or more for you

Got so focused on the numbers and reactions it blurred the vision
Got so caught up on the side quests I forgot about the mission to teach people lessons
Got so worried about finding new fans I forgot about the people that have been there since the beginning
But even with all the ears in the world it wouldn't be any different cuz I can play them the music but I can't force them to listen
It's hard to get their attention when people are so focused on their reflection
Trying to meet some kinda unrealistic standard they set for themselves
cnd then they hold others to it but they can't get it themselves
So when I come along with music but I don't have the following they think I should have they don't even give it the time of day
It's like they run over my dreams with they're idea of how its supposed be but the whole time
