The Temple
The temple was bombed in the war
My grandmother saw the flames
She was only 18, living on to 93
And her heart started beating inside of me
And her heart started beating inside of me
My mind, always restless
Always going from on place to another
But my body, I got from my mother
And courage from my father
The temple was reconstructed by the landmark ok Tokyo
The tourist at the tower looking down below
The monk, the incense, and summer green
Sunday protesters and quarantine
My mind, always restless
Always going from one place to another
But my body, I got from my mother
And courage from my father
I am life, you are life
We're all in this together
All part of this creation
At the temple where the souls
Live on in the mountains
The morning birds tell it all
