Christmas Time at Home

Flying home for Christmas
Its been planned for several months
I count the days cause I just can't wait
To see the sights of home

Growing ever anxious
As I watch the falling snow
My mind begins to travel
To a time so long ago

Like candy canes and hand made things
Socks hanging on the mantle
Turkey baking, decorations, hand-dipped candy apple

All the places and happy times are faces all aglow
As I pray to God for blessings on our Christmas time at home

Soon I'll be with family
Precious time we'll spend together
Laughing, sharing memories of the moments we still treasure
Spirit of the season and the joy and love it brings
As I travel home for Christmas and enjoy the simple things
