The World Looks at Me
Funny how I sit and think
The world has lost all since of hate
And every day that passes by
I cannot help but wonder why
The people that walk by me
Look so strangely at me
Standing on the corner
The corners and the city life
Reflect on passers-by
That such a person as myself
Exists for nothing but himself
And as I wonder through this maze
I seem to think much like my neighbors
I'm a stranger
The passers-by look down on me
And see just what they want to see
Dim reflections mirrored
As I lean against the billboard
Oh if only they could pass me by
And never really wonder why
I'm smiling
