Hope's Desire

Adrift upon the sea, amidst a winter's breeze
I want to grasp the chords within your hands.
Across the vast terrain I see the face of pain.
I want to place the blame on the wind.
And taunt the sweeping plain of the din.
But I look within and I see the face
Of hope's desire, our desire.

Who fought for freedom,

The darkness hides the day,
It's hard to see the way,
