I don't mind
The cold shoulder this time
Watch me etch mistakes

I guess I've earned your spite
At least half a million times
Perpetuating little lies
I hide behind my eyes
I'll just suffer more in my mind
More than I do in real life

A constant toil of
Pride and countless comparisons
Manifesting into tongues
Licking the wounds I freshly cut

Shedding the skin of condition
To lead a life with fierce conviction
