Mary Of My Younger Days
When I was a child, I remember
I used to go praying to Blessed Mother
Would sit on my bed or put my knees on the floor
Join the fingers with my hands together
I used to go mumbling in my praying
And jumping, and stumbling over the wordings
I was very tired from the day I had lived
So I'd fall asleep while I was praying
O Mother dear from Nazareth
Time goes ahead, it won't come back
I wish I could bring back those moments
I used to tell you how I was good
Mother of Jesus, I am back to you
Mother of Jesus, I love again
I was a teenager, I remember
I was in my school. We had a meeting
Same people were talking on religion and Jesus
And I felt that somehow l was cheating
Somebody was asking about religion
I said I had nothing against or for it
And Mary for me was just a woman like others
Jesus Christ was just a superstar to me
O Mother dear from Nazareth
Time goes ahead, it won't come back
I wish I could bring back those moments
I used to tell you how I was good
Mother of Jesus, I am back to you
Mother of Jesus, I love again
I now have grown older and I love it
I read and go over the book of living
And now on my bed I put my knees on the floor
And I pray for people in the whole world
Sometimes I go mumbling in my praying
And jumping and stumbling over the wordings
I come very tired for my life is not easy
But I never let my heart deceive me
O Mother dear from Nazareth
Time goes ahead, it won't come back
I wish I could bring back those moments
I used to tell you how I was good
Mother of Jesus, I am back to you
Mother of Jesus, I love again
Mother of Jesus, I am back to you
Mother of Jesus, I love again
