Attempting to cross the desert of life
In search of my place in the sun
Fresh at first, soon I begin to thirst
Looked for a drink, but found none
I'd see water everywhere, but when I'd get there
A mirage is all it would be
Oh, parched and dried, for help I cried
Looked up, and what did I see

He said, "come and drink of Me
And you'll never thirst again"

Little did I think when I took that drink
It would fill me so
Desert sand became fertile land
And fruit began to grow
Then with new eyes given me, I could see
People dying all around
With my cup to the brim, I called out to them
"Come quick, come see what I've found"
