Moral Compass

Moral compass shattered by society
A beast kept fed by laughing and mockery
Forced to lock my secrets deep inside my head
Want to be alive, trapped inside instead

The end of the rope snaps and I'm left dangling
End of the line gets blurred
Consciousness washes over my adolescent mind
I don't understand why I try

Holding my breath, suffocating

My mind is broken my dreams are shattered its a dog eat dog world and I choose to bark louder
