Curiosity Killed The Moth

I was told to sit here quietly
So I never talked to strangers
So what happens when I need to feed
And I can't tell what's love from danger?

And I look so sweet, but what's underneath
Leaves much to be desired
Flying to the light, no end in sight
It was only just a fire
And I just can't sleep on amphetamines
They only make me tired
When the night hurts, and I'm wired

I got a sick and twisted fascination
My own decimation
Me and Icarus are cut from the same cloth
Searching for velvet sensations
Falling for temptation
Curiosity killed the moth

I could sit and wither idly
Clip my wings, instead I'm soaring
Even if it ends up violently
At least you'd never call me boring
