How do I make music?
Huh, that's an interesting question
How do I write such good lyrics?
Don't even get me started

How do I produce it?
Mix and master it?
Well, that ain't even me
How is the whole project completed?
There's a lot more going on than it seems
Behind-the-scenes time, yeah!

See, I am really good at writing the lyrics
But I overthink on how ill produce it
What I'm gonna do with the music
And how to make it sound worth listening to

My problem is that I don't know what software to use
There's Reaper, GarageBand, FL Studio, too
I'm cheap though, what's free and what's expensive?
Is it intuitive or does it feel like advanced calculus?

Should I get my uncle to help me out?
He made the last song, it's sounded like a banger
Did take long to make it
And he made it look easy

Yeah, influenced by the music that I listen to
NF, Kyle Exum, Post Malone as well
Swae Lee, OneRepublic, Colton Dixon
Sia, Marshmello, Funnel Vision
I could go on and on, but I won't!

You get the idea
Hip-hop, rap, alternative, pop, country
These are all the genres that influence me
And I would like to imitate them all seamlessly
But I don't quite know how

'Cause like I said, I feel out of luck looking for some good software
Soundtrap let me down, so did bandlab
A cakewalk? Doesn't feel like one
Bandlab assistant helps out with it
Should I just get a Mac so I can use Logic or GarageBand?
Nah
I already own Reaper
'Cause I bought it, may as well learn how to use it
Feels like I have to make everything by hand
Feels like an eternity, can you understand!?

Basically, I'm paranoid on what the song is gonna sound like
'Cause I look at what I listen to daily
And I think, "how can I make it sound like that?"
Been into that stuff for years, since I was 12 years old
It's hard to digest the same old thoughts every day
If it ain't mainstream enough, will the fans not like it?
If I don't think it's good enough, is it even worth it?
Does it not feel fun anymore?
Have I forgotten the whole creative flow!

That doesn't make sense
That defeats the whole purpose of why I'm doing this
Doesn't matter if they like it, I'm just tryna send a message
To those who need it the most, who cares how it sounds?
If it helps out another person, that's all that matters

He just wanted to help out another soul
Who needed it the most

I'm independent
Creativity means that there are no limits
To what you accomplish if you put your mind to it
And create something too hard to digest or dissect
Because the lyrics speak for themselves
