Luke 14:26

I keep praying, why do I feel forsaken?
Lord wake up, your people are waiting
This poor nation is torn up
That’s why you ignore us, scorn us
But don’t forget the people who are just
You can’t kill the nation if we find you a man
Who’s found favor in your heart
That would stifle your plan
And God I think we got a person here
Who might be the man
He hates everything in life
So know he don’t give a damn
A sacrifice might be his destiny
‘Cause he’ll never be happy in the world
It was meant to be, only thing he needs
Is something that can set him free, anything
‘Cause his inner demons never let him be
Even if it puts his life in jeopardy
Mentally he’s ready for an opportunity
Just give it to him please
Begging on my knees
I’ve got energy, where’s my enemies?
Heavenly things on my mind, what is death to me?
We’re not done we’re fighting
If I must I’ll be the only one who’s righteous
To save us all from you coming down to strike us
Every day’s dull and you’re nowhere in sight when
We need you, so I walk up near the altar
Anything you want God, I’m willing to offer
Make me a martyr and I’ll be fine
Just don’t let another man live a life like mine
My mind is fried, I’m passed my prime
You made me hate my life so you can have it, fine
I had dreams of success but that all has left me
I’m not expecting much out of life
Nothing will depress me
Never get excited, even hoping for a crisis
I be running toward the lightning
Hope a thousand bolts will strike me
Just because this life is boring and it’s trifling
Need a war to fight in, just to get me hyped up
I’ve been feeling lifeless, but when I am rhyming
I feel I so alive, it’s just something with the timing
I can feel the world synchronizing ‘round me
With the spirits rising, eyes on the prize
‘Cause living in these times is hard
When they strip us of our pride
No surprise the devil’s alive
So all zealots arise, ready to die
Let us cry, “We’ve got a message for God!”
We’re not done we’re fighting
