The Ape And The Tiny Firefly

Once upon a time,
in the beautiful forests of Philippines,
there lived an ape named Toru,
who thought himself to be mighty of all.
After a long day,
Toru was carrying a branch of bananas,
on his way back to his home.
Toru feels tired. He needs to relax.
He found himself a big banyan tree,
to take a quick nap.
And, soon....
*Snores* *Snores*
A branch of bananas!
What a yummy sight!
Firefly began to flutter around the banana branch, with most excitement.
Argh!!!
How dare you, little creature disturb my sleep?
Hey, ease, you could have got me killed.
Toru is going to squeeze you off, with his mighty hands.
You’ve disturbed his sleep.
Oh, really?
Like this?
Argh!!!
Catch me if you can!
You slimy little bug.
Argh! Argh!
What happened Mighty Toru, is that all you got?
You! Toru will kill you in no time.
In your dreams.
I challenge you, even an army of your race can’t.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Are you challenging me?
We’ll see to that tomorrow.
*Whistles*
Fight between an army of apes and a little firefly!
That must be interesting.
I should tell about this to my folks, out there.
The cuckoo went flying to other animals in the forest,
and told them about the fight.
An army of apes versus little firefly!
That sounds crazy!
I’d make sure that I get seated in the front row.
See you, everyone, tomorrow.
The next morning,
the mighty Toru walked in for the fight,
along with his fellows.
And, the other animals were eagerly waiting for the match.
Where is that slimy bug?
Toru wants to kill him, all himself.
I’m here mighty Toru.
Said the tiny firefly,
and came flying from the back of Toru’s shoulder.
Thank you for the ride. You helped me save my energy.
Were you in resting on my
shoulders?
Argh! Argh!
*Swash* *Swash*
Over, here!!!
No! No!
*Swash* *Swash*
*Hurrays*
*Claps* *Claps*
What guys, where is the mightiness?
Defeated by a tiny firefly?
I feel small.
Well, then that makes us equal.
Don’t mess with me again, mighty Toru.
Kids,
what have you learned from the story?
If the mighty ape wouldn’t have
underestimated the tiny-firefly,
it wouldn’t have failed.
