Houses
As old as i get
I'm still the same age
Content in my museum of youth
I've built through the grades
But the older i get
I start to look around
It's starting to feel like a tomb and
Really i should be on my way soon
I'm thinking way back
About as far as I can
Back to the backyards
We ruled till the sun's gone
And the playstation games
Back to the parties which
Lead to hazy mornings and
The songs that we sang
And
I remember sleeping on their floors and
I remember sneaking in the back door but
They, they don't live here anymore and
I'm wondering what I'm waiting for
I know where they go while
I'm in excess in limbo
Above the fireplace
The pictures have changed
I wonder how long ago
I hear them complain
Of how their houses have changed
And I know when I come back someday I'll feel the same
And
I remember sleeping on their floors and
I remember sneaking in the back doors but
They, they don't live here anymore and
I know what I'm waiting for
