The Call

Drew Gonsalves

The moon shine brightly
The nightly cast in its glimmer, its shimmer
Ever so slightly
Now this island sleeping on
It was all that I needed for a call
The night breeze blew sprightly to tease us [?]
And I tip-toed out the bar so lightly
No sound to announce that I was gone
Got to find the find the place where the pale moon shone
(Where the pale moon shone)

Far out and alone
Surrounded by terrors which were all my own
But the night which cast its light and charm
Did not intend any harm
Soon the gentle light and embracing calm
Put to flight to undue alarm
And when I thought the night would be spent without incident
I heard a rumbling in the firmament

And I [?]
Before a place beyond praise
Who gets down from His great beyond
Upon a place where the pale moon shone
I lack the language to describe
The Majesty which fill the skies
Whose gaze seem to set the stars ablaze
Making the night brighter than the day

I sit and wonder like a child
A shadow in the rush of light
Not a saint not a [?]
[?] a voice which covered all the world
Nothing stronger than that
More jealous than the grave
Love is stronger than that
More jealous than the grave

Love no flood can quench
Reject [?]
Love no flood can quench
Reject [?]

In an instant all was gone
There was a distant moon
Where the [?] shone
Gone was the face [?] in the black of space
All was back in its usual place
No sign to remind
Nothing left behind
No [?] of how I spent the time
Once again I was on my own
To find my way home
To find my way home
To find my way home
