I look back, and wonder
Have I let time escape
Days pass and, years slip away
It’s sad when young dreams fade
Though I’ve gone from day to day
My mind is filled with wonder of
the things that might have been
Never took the time
to find the things inside that I need
Something else always in the way

so you could know me and what
makes me breathe
Each moment, that has been lost
will never come again
We never know the cost
of those who should be friends
How it troubles me to think all the love
that passed me by and I was blind to see
