Movin’ On
VERSE 1: Hey what up moms / it's about that time for me to leave the nest to see what I can find / in order to fully feed my grind I need a place that I can call mines / thanks for understanding I found a place in Price Hill it's in the hood but across the street from where the cops chill / I'm saying all I need is a stack to move in and Azariah can have her own room she'll probably zoom in / so then I met the landlord got my keys / I gave him a thousand paid my fees / and now I'm free to do what I please God help me to live in integrity / now I can blast my music as loud as I wanna / and say Hallelujah as loud as I wanna / and I can sleep in till 12 o'clock and no one can wake me up I like that a lot / and I can make beats without interruptions and stay on the internet limitless without someone cutting me off needing a phone for discussion / cause I'm tying up the phone line (I'm in the middle of downloading something) / but now I run the operations living on my own goes beyond my expectations / mom our love will remain strong don't think of me as moving out I'm just moving on //
VERSE 2: What is that? / oh my God it's a rat or something furry I need a mousetrap / so I called the landlord tell him about the mouse / come over here get this mouse out my house / another time I left a pizza box on the floor next morning ants all over floor and the refrigerator door / I knew what to do beyond a shadow of a doubt / bought a can of Raid shook the can took em all out / living on my own is harder than I thought / I can't even cook any of the food I got / all I eat is TV dinners pizza and potato chips / I tried making mac and cheese and I burnt it to a crisp / ironing my clothes is another story / if my clothes ain't wrinkled God gets the glory / at first most of my money went to bills / when I was with moms it felt like I had a mill / back then I slept on a bed now I sleep on a couch / but come to think of it the bed had my back saying ouch / and cleaning I could never be a janitor / cleaning tubs and toilets that's beyond my parameters / I'm not trained in housekeeping but that won't last long / I'm making progress because I'm moving on //
VERSE 3: Everyday I live and learn / I'm learning how to be a man cause it's now my turn / many days I miss my family but if I never moved out then I'd never learn manually / one day I'm a be a husband and a father and I won't be a good one if I don't bother / to learn the essentials God is my teacher / equipping me with knowledge to be a better leader / on my own I'm learning responsibility / trying to be apart my bills managing my money / without my experiences I wouldn't have this song / I thank God for progress I'm glad I'm moving on //
