Purple (Interlude)

DAVID D CARR, DAVID D CARR JR

More often then not
I find myself pouring out a story I've written just to scrap it
I ripped out pages at least 32 times, stripped my notebook
Cah there's been no magic
But I'll never panic
I know my classics are yet to come, and soon come the better days
I been treating my art like plants, watering, onto the breaks, and I know I got a green thumb
Listen
Searching for the perfect picture Knowing I could never even fit the frame
I never had the pivot with the swisher
I felt all the thoughts, and dealt with my mind
Whatever stuck in my brain
Led to me using the lead just for some peace of mind
I've felt the steepest decline in myself, and I knew it
Now my confidence different, and I've got a nasty ego, fuck the consequences, cah we don't see those
The person I've been is not the person I'll be
I promise that, from you to me
The mic and me, one room, all I need at the moment
Just give me that moment
The rain pour heavy from the pain, and i been soaking
But, I'm Open to the thought of ocean views
It's easy to say, but constant pressure make it hard to do
That I wonder, whether it's worth the time I spend
And if the possible money made, make do
Bur Even against all the odds, I like my numbers and my chances
I wanna advance in this, so I've manned up and said it
It's purple and I'm certain where I'm headed in it
Yeah
