Clarity

Up at the peak it called me
I heard it barroling over trees that I
Recognize
Leaves I've known
All my life

So I
I eagerly responded
Not knowing when or how It'd materialize

And now I listen closely
Trying to hear the song that it sang to me
Desperately
Bring me back that clarity
Mountain breeze on dusty knees
Looking out over everything
Am I too far from where it started?
