Choices and Decisions

Walk you could fall, you could or just not at all no results at all
It's not a choice to fall but a decision to step
It's not a choice to breathe but a decision to live
How do we break through? How do we get to a point of happiness?
Happiness is situational; what situation are you in?

What decision are you making from the choices you were given?
Are you making up excuses or finding better ways of living?
Cause and effect. Do you feel cursed, do you feel blessed?
Choices always come; decisions are often final
Distractions all around and their job is just to blind you
Chasing change!
Change, changing us

We start one way like the boulders of a mountain
Before a lifetime of rainfall or a tree trunk before the chain saw
Pain changes us. It changes our course
We go from living to protecting from offense to defense, trying to make sense
Since I've been traveling through this Pennsylvania valley of death

I've been traumatized by so many young taking a last breath
So many young disregarded in systems
From premature moves, premature decisions

Finally figuring out on release day
That the best part's been taken away and at first glance willingly
But poverty creates evil honestly

No one wants the have-nots in the prestigious part of society

Life is full of situations, choices and pain...
Choices then decisions and results of them are a result of the way we are living
