Late last night, I made up my mind
Set my alarm for 5:05
Coleman full of coffee, rods in the truck
Time to knock off a little tackle box dust
Thirty minute drive and walk down a hill
To a little piece of water where the world stands still

And I still get hung up on that oak tree
Throw that Texas rig you showed me
Learned a lot about life, wetting a line on a muddy riverbank with you
We'd talk pickup trucks to Jesus
Through Redman and Bocephus

Well, I know there's better places
And I got a nice boat at the house
