When I was a young boy
Learning to grow up
I used to love to ride around
In Grandpa's pickup truck
He's stop at the store
And buy a moon pie and RC
That was Grandpa's way of saying
How much he loved me
I'd sit and watch him working
He seemed so tall and strong

It was his favorite song
But when I go see him now
He doesn't know my name
He can't remember who I am
He sees through eyes of pain
