The Waking Hour

I’m alive
Or maybe it’s ‘cos I know I’m sleeping
Where am I now?
All I know is that it’s happening
Overtime
In the land of dreams, I found refuge
To survive and make the realistic world worth living in
Why do I need a reason to make this world worth living in?

Sneaked a peek outside the window
The radiant trees and flowers caught the side of my eye and I wondered
Whatever happened to yesterday?
To smell the roses along the way
Is that cliché?

What does it take to appreciate a beautiful day?
