Zero Recall
Faces and places I can’t recognize
Twisted, distorted and well disguised
Flashes silhouetted against a blank slate
Abandoned and alone in a fragile state
(It’s like missing pieces to a puzzle)
I’m struggling to remember
(It’s like missing pieces to a puzzle)
I cannot recall
Somebody help me my mind is broken… Zero recall
My memories now lay frozen… Zero recall
Why have I been forsaken? Zero recall
Somebody help me my mind is broken… Zero recall
(Now you need to understand you’ve suffered severe head trauma)
(Damage and swelling to the surrounding area of your brain has resulted in extensive memory loss)
(You can’t simply force yourself to remember)
(Although certain objects or surroundings could trigger your memories to return on their own)
Navigating an empty maze I don’t understand
Where I came from or who I am
My life has been paused cerebral restart
Surrounded by strangers as I fall apart
(It’s like missing pieces to a puzzle)
I’m struggling to remember
(It’s like missing pieces to a puzzle)
I cannot recall
Somebody help me my mind is broken… Zero recall
My memories now lay frozen… Zero recall
Why have I been forsaken? Zero recall
Somebody help me my mind is broken… Zero recall
(There really is no way to tell how long it will last)
(One moment you may find you remember everything all at once)
(Your memories could return in a matter of days)
(Could be months… or even longer)
(Or they may never come back)
