Roast Chicken

George The Poet, Knox Brown

Your baby father's got a lot of growing up to do
But you're stuck with him and he's stuck with you
Its gonna' be hard to find a substitute that's got love for you but still loves to you
His family makes you uncomfortable
You were sitting in hospital, thinking you lost it all
And he took 1 month to call?
No wonder you don't want to give no one the new phone number
Its their radar you want to go under
So now none of you answer the phone
Your conversations up and after the tone
But you're hard to the bone, not the first that's grafted alone
In and amongst the system, forgetful of women and youngsters that outcomes worst
And the police where a loud guns burst, but the child comes first, ' a non negotiable
She said this is something I can't afford to have the wrong emotion for
I've got too much stuff on my plate for that to be up for debate, I wanna' see where you're coming from
And I don't mean a nut to the face, so I hope we can cut to the chase
I can never get more time off, then a couple of days
So when it's me time, I'm gluttonous babes
My kids that messes with me in the subtlest ways
Say every now and then I want nothing but space, to fantasize about cutting his face
And I'm not here to do the job that your mother did, so look, I don't want another kid
I wanna' be a supportive wife, but we all live life with things that we struggle with
Money ain't everything, I got a lot of concerns that don't relate to net worth
Supporting myself is part of the plan, but I can't understand the heart of a man that
I got to motivate to get work, still finding himself
He's got be un grinding himself, minding his health, strong minded as well, so honestly
You ain't got time for this girl, my life can be quite difficult, just save your name
State your aim, and if I like it at all, you might get a call, or your my typical bit of fooling around, the kind that like to be crawling around, got a pool in my gown, you could fall in and drown
But don't think you could ever storm in and out, I am a tropical storm in a draught
Climb to the top, I was born in the alps
I am a sight to behold, I am the essence of elements people fight to control, right to the soul
He still feels entitled to roll through my home and go through my phone
But he can't do his job as a man or a father, nah, I've made the greatest growth on my own
No psychic alone, that's helped me through my shit and soul, you don't like it then go
Why get involved...
