Light and Fog
These streetlamps support a marquee of light and fog
But I turn and submerge
Into the underpass of stink I was in before
When I wanted to escape through a back door
As I climb the stairs back up
Amazing sounds create a tunnel-vision
In which I ask myself if I could
Write something before Simon said it all
We must overcome our pride
To be proud in the end
Let’s be mutual heroes
So we won’t feel like underdogs
So we won’t feel like underdogs
Girls all dressed up sitting in passenger seat
Focused on the conversation in their hands
Give it all to arrange your Friday night
That will not change her mind or sight
At least this wouldn’t happen to me
‘cause light and fog is all I see
We must overcome our pride
To be proud in the end
Let’s be mutual heroes
So we won’t feel like underdogs
So we won’t feel like underdogs
And there will always be moments in life
Because of which we’ll make it through the night
And I hope I fix upon my mind
That in the end it’s worth the fight
