A Lucid Tower Beckons On The Hills Afar
On the hillside distant
Diademed by clouds
On a throne of woodland
Which the mist enshrouds
Lucid tower high
By the starry roof
Thou seems ever nigh
Even far aloof
And when darkness falls
Into the deep of night
The Moon clads those old walls
In silver paint of light
This eternal site
Proudly there upholds
Olden sanguine might
Secret lore unfolds
Deep down in the dungeons
Where dust dances in faint rays
Of forlorn lights gone astray
Deep down in these ruins
Water drops from mossy stone
A green shimmer on the wet grey
Forgotten tales arising
From the ancient ground
When the pines are luring
Into myth abound
Lucid tower high
By the starry roof
Thou seems ever nigh
Never far aloof
