The Vision That Ruined a Man

J H, Jorge Horno

No human imagination could conceive landscapes
More terribly desolated that the ones I have witnessed
I have seen horrors so terrible
That I even wonder how I can still live
I stand being a man ruined in body and soul

Visions that were like cliffs rising before me, horribly black and grim
Deep as an abyss of which you can but to look away in terror
Against them breaks a white backwash of howls of agony
The roar eternally black rocks can be seen everywhere

Everywhere you see only dark rocks, vestiges of decadent past glories
And an undefined terror floats around like a fog
What I saw was strange and horrible
And dwells beyond the existence of the knowledge of my emotions

Depths and horrors even more dreadful and unbelievable
That any tale been told
Beside the lights of the winter nights
