Compassion

We say that we are Christians and we really love the lord
But do we follow his example do we obey his voice
People are lost, hurt and dying without Christ in their lives
Do we attempt to meet their needs or do we let them pass by?
Instead of pointing fingers and saying who's blame
Let us strive to be like Jesus and bring honor to his name

A genuine reaction, not for form or fashion
If we're going to reach the lost, we must see needs and not faults

Help the blind man, across the street
Be kind to a stranger and those you meet
You'll find it doesn't cost much to give a gentle touch
To speak a word of encouragement to someone in need of such
