Ignored, discarded
Our indignation - it just isn’t cutting through
Void of empathy
Villainisation if you endeavour to present the truth
Now every time we see the news we concede our sight to distorted views
Whenever we indulge in these games we always land on snakes
See the goalposts move
We all know something that other people don’t
So be kind, but draw a line

Open the blinds
Dissent be damned
Cast out for being rude
Grown so weary from exasperation
Can only do what I can do
Funnelled churnalist misinformation
Rejection of objective truth
Like knives, we hold our silence to each other’s throats
Surprise! The sheep are dead, and look!
The wolves took all their clothes
Biting our tongues, numb to the everyday chicanery
Attack, someone bites back and that’s your takeaway?
“Be kind” all you like, but does it nullify their cruel, barbaric policies?
