Green Peace
The earth lies sick and silent
The seas forever still
And empty skies will realise what no man ever will
When there are no new beginnings
And the end is here to stay
Maybe then, too late, we'll find a way
To green peace, no cold-war
That's what the warrior came here for
Yet still we sell tomorrow
A shop of conscience sets its sails
Beneath a dying sun
The winds of time will echo rhymes of journeys not begun
The blind man saw it coming
And the deaf could hear its voice
The righteous man could not understand the choice
Of green peace, not cold-war
That's what the warrior came here for
Yet still we sell tomorrow
A tear for the present, and another for the past
And one I'll save for better times
We hope will come at last
No don't misunderstand me, I know it's not your way
If genesis could have known of this
We'd have stayed with green peace, not cold-war
That's what the warrior came here for
Yet still we sell tomorrow
Green peace
