A Fortress Dark
It has become eternal stone
What once was flesh and bone
To guard this fortress dark
With a stone cold heart
Atop the towers highest peaks
Part of the wall the carved beasts
Forever silent untiring guards
Lurking with their stone cold hearts
Years and years creep by in this silent eternity
Endless halls and passages walked by the dead alone
And in the heat heart of the darkness
I sit in silent communion with the beast cast in stone
Silence falls, eternal night, a fortress dark in the pale moonlight
And the banshees howl of my unkind fate
It has become eternal stone
What once was flesh and bone
To guard this fortress dark
With a stone cold heart
Atop the towers highest peaks
Part of the wall the carved beasts
Forever silent untiring guards
Lurking with their stone cold hearts
In a fortress dark
Legend of the dark fortress
Beware if you tread the paths of the other side
