Moonlight is falling
Through tortured clouds
Nightbirds are moaning
And screaming so loud
A long sigh is sneaking
A deepening breath
Creeps to the brain
The stinking of death
There’s no more life
On the battlefield
Where they just fought
Where they just killed
The swords were crashing
The warriors roared
The battle raged and the yelling soared

Vultures perched
On twisted trees
They’ll soon come down
And join the feast
Shattered bodies
Are everywhere
Their mouths still scream
Their eyes still stare

A black figure ploughs
Through the heaps of the dead
His eyes and his pant
Come directly from hell
He moves like a beast
Sniffing hard on the ground
He looks for the man
Who will live after death

There’s no more life
On the battlefield
Where they just fought
Where they just killed

The wariors roared
The banners waved
And the yelling soared
The demon’s eye
Has found its prey
The bravest man
The noblest prince
He grabs his body
And staggering on
They slip away into the dark
