Wouldn't Change a Thing
When I was a kid, zoom was a TV show
And I had telephone hangin on the kitchen wall
We all grow up some a little less than others
Turn into some version of our fathers and our mothers
I sang about 1985, 19 years after 1985
Seems like about a million years ago
Seen a lotta bands like us blow up, and come and go
I've lived a lifetime or three full laughter and tears
Probably ten thousand beers
And a couple wedding rings
And even if I could
I wouldn't change a thing
Now I've got kids, still feel like one myself
And I can honestly tell, my wife that she's my best friend
Staying young, isn't as easy as it could be
I've put a on a few pounds but I still love being me
I sang about 1985, 19 years after 1985
Seems like about a million years ago
Seen a lotta bands like us blow up, come and go
I've lived a lifetime or three full laughter and tears
Probably ten thousand beers
And a couple wedding rings
And even if I could, I wouldn't change a thing
Well maybe I wouldn't have bailed on Green Day cause Dookie got so popular
And maybe I should have learned a second language or bought stock in Apple
Sold everything that I own
Bet it all on the Steelers in the 09 Super Bowl
I still sing about 1985, (Home Sweet Home) 36 years after 1985
Seems like a bout a million years ago
Seen a lotta bands good friends and family, come and go
I've lived a lifetime or ten full laughter and tears
Probably 50 thousand beers
And a couple wedding rings
And even if I could, I wouldn't change a thing
